I hope this letter finds you well and that you are finding some semblance of stability and routine. Spring is in full swing and many of us are experiencing a little more much needed freedom these days. As usual, here a few articles, photos and thoughts that we hope break up the Netflix monotony or distract you from your real work, at least for a bit.

Needed Diversions…

  • Here is an article from Dwell Magazine - 15 Things I’ve Learned After Weeks of Working From Home. Something here we can all relate to. Favorite quote,"Notebooks for drawing and sketching are back out on the table, and the books I’ve been wanting to read are all getting read. There is a newfound satisfaction in the sense of touch.” - dwell.com

  • This article is a bit out of the ordinary for us, but I thought it worth including considering the times. It is just a bit of information that might be helpful in process your/our present situation. - theatlantic.com

  • A poetic list about the city from Edwin Heathcote. - readingdesign.org

  • The Sanctuary - a beautiful Palo Alto home. - architizer.com

  • These are my favorite kind of projects… taking old buildings and transforming them into something different; respecting and retaining what was there before while breathing new life into them. Who doesn’t love a good redemption story? - wallpaper.com

  • Found this short little essay amusing this week about how designers are, in a sense, hired to tell the ones doing the hiring that they are wrong. - coffeewithanarchitect.com

Who We’re Loving on Instagram…

  • Jose Naranja is a Spanish artist making beautifully and intricately drawn journals. - @jose_naranja
